A Paladin’s Update: October 2015 In Summary. The Beginning of First Impressions and Reviews Back on Track.

A cool evening as October has gone away and November begins. I’ve had a couple of rough personal weeks that I’m still in recovery from tonight. But, the work must go on. So, let’s talk about October.

A Paladin Without A Crusade:

I actually broke even with last month on the blog, which is surprising considering I didn’t actually publish a review. An accidental occurrence, I assure you. As I stated in my last post yesterday, work is well underway for the next review and I’m really looking forward to it. The updated schedule is now up! Check out the right ->. I’ve got two sections now. Promised content and hopeful but not promised content. Basically, I hope to publish content three times a week and anything extra is just that. Things that I want to do when I have the time/passion to do it. Reviews are technically scheduled weekly again but I may do other content that day instead if I’m not ready to publish the review. I’m generally pretty stoked for this schedule and look forward to see how it works for the next few months.

Also, umm, my Starward Rogue review got a ton of attention last month holy crap. I’m…shocked. And also rather happy about that.

I’ve already talked about the future of Impressions so I’ll just skip that. What I will say, is that I’m impressed with how well this series has done for simply starting out. I didn’t expect as positive a reception to it and I’m officially making a permanent series of A Paladin now. I’m still planning out two additional series to compliment the Impressions series, they just require more time in the oven. Impression videos will be moving to Monday to allow my reviews a chance to breathe. Screenshots were moved to Friday to put less pressure on me and free up more time for gaming/reviewing.

Other Personal Items:

Of course, when you declare yourself as an Atheist for the first time on Facebook/Email, that tends to cause some explosions with people who didn’t see it coming. That’s been the drama I’ve been dealing with for the past couple of weeks. Yea, I’m officially an atheist. I used to believe in the Christian God, that’s no longer the case. No, I’m not giving my reasons here, I’m just letting you know. Atheism will not be a topic on A Paladin Without A Crusade, period. I’ve got different plans for my thoughts on that subject. I am, however, free to talk about it privately via email or messaging. I just want this project focused on gaming rather than atheism is all. Other than that, things are slowly getting back under me and I’m doing ok. I hope you guys are too.
