I have a job, that’ll change things. Read on to find out more.
I now have a full-time position with a landscaping and wildfire wood chipper company. I’m starting tomorrow morning at 7:30am and I’m not really certain what the hours or days I’ll be working are, for now. It’s work. It’ll help financially and mentally as I’ve been in a slump as far as my job search is concerned. But this will help alleviate things. My hope is that this will lead to more opportunities later on.
I don’t know how this will change A Paladin’s publishing schedule. I’m still intending to keep weekly reviews regardless of what happens but there’s always an adjustment period to deal with. This next week’s review was planned to a “quick and easy” (hah, what a laugh) review and that’s probably a good thing. Next week’s will probably be the same, hopefully getting me past the adjustment period and figuring out how A Paladin will fit in. It’s very likely A Journey Through Steam will go on a hiatus along with my Stream of System Shock 2 while I get used to the work. But I’m not making any solid changes right now. However, there’s a possibility that I might be deployed for up to two weeks on wildfire jobs which will obviously affect A Paladin. I have no idea how to deal with these situations other than scheduling posts in advance. I’m still working this part out.
As for myself, well, I’m a little nervous. This isn’t the type of work I’m used to so, there’s all that. Fun, exciting and changing times for me.
Wish me luck and hopefully the content continues to get released on a schedule that makes this point incredibly pointless! 😉
