A Paladin’s Journey Through Steam: June 30th, 2015. Apparently Widescreen Resolution Games Are Hard To Make.

If I had a dollar for every time Rocksmith was featured in these photos, I could buy the Witcher 3 now.

June is coming to an end today, so let’s take a look at a single game.

Not a great start to this week or end of the month. I ‘ve looked at 10+ trailers for games that have 4:3 or worse resolution scaling in the trailers. It’s just silly. Dunno why so many games are marketing such a bad resolution but they are. Only a single game makes the list today, a lot of them just aren’t worth giving a second look.

This post is part of a series where I feature the most interesting new releases on Valve’s Steam store. With my first impressions commentary to go along with each. Learn more about this series at this blog post.

Featured Item: Infinifactory

Brain-melting puzzle/building game for all platforms

Brain-melting puzzle/building game for all platforms

Infinifactory is produced by the same guys behind SpaceChem. So, it’s probably brain-melting difficulty. Which I’m cool with. I’m glad Zachtronics has found their niche. As for myself, I’m very intrigued by it, even though I’m certain I’ll have a hell of a time getting past it. I’ve heard good things about Infinifactory and it didn’t spend too long in early access. So, now it’s out of early access and ready for general consumption.

Side Notes:

Old School Strategy Game

Fragile Allegiance is on Steam now. It’s been on GOG.com for a while now. But there’s a Windows and Linux version over on GOG but the Steam version is lacking the Linux part. Odd. Anyway, just a minor note as a friend of mine has played this in the past. So, that’s how I know of it.

Broken Unfinished Waste of Store Space

This game sat around in…apparently Greenlight and got onto the store. I’ve seen the entire game via footage on YouTube. It is hilariously unfinished, hilariously broken and only about 15-20mins long. That entire level you see is the only place you travel to. And he expects $6 for it. Yeah, just sickening. It’s currently 90% negative ratings for the few brave people that played it. Just…why….just why.

Action Game?? for Windows

Uhh, Sector. You’re missing a trailer. And better screenshots. And maybe a store page description that has more than this:

SECTOR is a classic shooter game that you play the role of Dimitri, he and another scientists made fail biological tests and the infected enemies took possesion with technology evolution. Survive at this severe place, fighting against creatures and solve problems, now you need to place the order on earth.

Main Features
