A Paladin’s Update: Review Schedule Change for May 2015 and Beyond.

A Paladin Without A Crusade

Update for A Paladin Without A Crusade’s Review Schedule.

You know, it took me a bit to figure out a non-clickbaity title for this announcement and this is what I came up with. I’m ok with this.

Effective immediately: I will not be reviewing Metal Gear Solid 5 or any Konami-published titles for the near future. Yes, there had been plans set to take a look at it and possibly review it. No longer. Not that it’ll matter as they seem uninterested in developing videogames. This also means I will not be talking about it in Journey Through Steam or any other public means. Due to the actions of the company and their abuse of the DMCA to take down criticism as talked about in the below video, I have decided to re-shift my priorities. It’s also been removed from my wishlist and I do not wish to play it for the near future. Please do not gift it to me, gift me another game from a developer who doesn’t try to censor criticism.

It’s a real shame. I loved Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. I had been looking forward to continuing the Metal Gear Solid series on the PC for the first time. But after all this insanity, my interests have substantially dropped. Especially when the original maker of the MGS series is not even being credit and outed from his game. That just doesn’t sit well with me.

The plan for this month is another full-blog review of The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings and while I had hoped to get it done before the Witcher 3, well, that just isn’t happening. I’m currently debating not doing reviews for the next few weeks to finish it up but I probably won’t go through with that. And now that I’ve announced my plans, expect it to get delayed ;). The other two reviews are probably going to be relatively small indie games that I’ve finished recently.

I don’t really have review plans for June right now. I’m currently toying around with reviewing The Last Federation, Frozen Cortex, This War of Mine, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, Brutal Legend and…the list goes on. It’ll depend on what I feel up for in June and how things work out.

Thanks for the support as always!
