For real, this is not an April’s fool joke. Let’s take a look at Steam’s latest releases.

April Fools has really sucked more time out of my day than I had intended. Lot of pretty funny stuff got put out there today. I’ve only got a couple of games today, so, let’s take a look at them.

This post is part of my new series where I take a look at the most interesting games on the new releases list for Steam. Learn more about this series at this blog post.

I’ve seen quite a number of these co-op PVE Brawlers show up recently. However, the line that says: “Co-Op action set in a deadly post-apocalyptic Sweden” caught my eye. It’s pretty rare to see futuristic distopian games that aren’t in America, Russia or some other really well known place. Even weirder was the first trailer’s voice over. It sounds exactly like my friend Tobias Linder, if he overacted by about three times the usual. It was really uncanny. As for the game itself, it looks competent and I’m not seeing anything too concerning. I don’t often see PVE MOBAs but that doesn’t seem like a terrible idea if you like the gameplay of a game like DOTA but don’t like the PVP pressure of DOTA.

Mixed Feature: Son of Nor

Third person action game with terraforming powers and magical abilities. It’s been in development for over three years which is rather impressive. The graphics? Less so. It’s also got a lot of peripheral support such as Oculus Rift and an “EMOTIV EPOC” which claims to monitor your brain activity. Which you can then use to control your gameplay. It looks rather interesting and they’ve clearly poured their hearts into this project. The ability to change your environment and use telekinesis seems like a neat way to vary up a 3rd person action game. Three years though, that’s a crazy amount of time.

Short post today but I thank you guys for reading.
