King’s Personal Musing 4/17/13: Continuous Spring Photos, Google Inactive Account Manager and more…

Random cat photo I found in Google Image Search. I muse about continuous Spring photos, Google Inactive Account Manager and more…

My Life of Late…

Has been nothing but studying and more studying. Yeah, it really hasn’t been much for excitement. But I still wanted to publish something for you even if life has been a bit busy for me so I hope you enjoy this post.

What I’m Playing Now…

I’ve been watching Star Trek: Enterprise lately but not much of it. Gaming has been lacking due to lack of time unsurprisingly. I am looking forward to seeing Star Trek: Into Darkness, Iron Man 3 and the new Superman movie. Hopefully those are pretty good, they all come out near my birthday. Thinking about it now, May is going to be really busy for me on that front…

Content I’ve Published Elsewhere…

Nothing just yet.

Gaming & Technology News To Discuss…

About the only thing I want to discuss is this announcement by Google. They now have an “Inactive Account Manager” that let’s you deal with your data after you die. Not something a lot of us want to think about, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about for the past couple of months since my Dad has died. Even more so as we had trouble getting Facebook to memorialize his account. Yeah, I am not happy with Facebook’s delay and the complete lack of communication on their part. We found out later that it had been after attempting to access it but the lack of communication was…well…anyway. So this sort of thing has been on my mind and I’m glad to see more and more companies creating these. I’m going to get around to setting this up how I want soon. But basically, it allows you to delete or transfer your data to someone else after a period of inactivity. This means everything Google-related will be dealt with. My only hope is that more companies will implement something similar for their web services as the Internet continues to evolve and grow. I think it’s rather essential.

Photos To See…

This is a photo I didn’t share beyond Google+ yet. Took it the other day and several variations of it and I got some really neat results with my camera.

Also, some more Spring time photos I think you’ll enjoy…

Audio of Note…

Lara plays the Dr. Who theme on Violins and does a pretty darn good job.

A nice techno/electronic song by bbriggsmusic on my SoundCloud feed.

A really nice OC ReMix song for Mega Man. Enjoyed this song quite a bit.

Videos To Watch…

Starting to like this new channel I’ve subbed to, pushinguproses. She takes a second look at the Mickey Mouse: Follow the Reader game. Enjoy:

Moonshine Fox continues his adventures in Giana Sisters in level 3-1. From what I can tell, world 3 is really, really frustratingly difficult to beat. I’m stuck on 3-8 as of this writing.

JesseCox has an amusing encounter with a Dead Space 2 bug.

Until next time…
