My Life Musings…

Some blog thoughts tonight as they’re on my mind. Been thinking of changing the theme. Something new, something fresh. I do like this theme but there are parts I wish I could change or were different. The main reason I’ve stuck with this theme for so long is that its actually pretty colorful and functional for me. A lot of the new WordPress themes seem focused on being very minimalistic, mobile-ready themes. That or they’re magazine-like themes. Which is fine for some but that’s not what I’m looking for. Whether I’ll find a new theme this time around is difficult to say. I’ve stuck with this one through several separate attempts to change it, so this may just be me wasting another hour looking at themes again. Ah well. If you have any WordPress themes to suggest, by all means, leave a comment. Its been a bit of a slow time on the Interwebs to share anything good so…yeah. I’m still not sure what to do about the photo section but that’s more due to me not having enough time to look into different sources.

Uploaded the next episode in Gareth’s and I’s crazy adventure in Portal 2 a little bit ago. We got quite stuck on a few puzzles in this episode, it was a bit nuts. This is Chapter 3, Part 2 of our ongoing co-op series. Enjoy!

On a side musing, I’m actually really happy with how well this series has turned out. I think Gareth is happy too and I have little doubt that we’ll continue to do collaborative efforts in the future. I’m also thinking about doing a competitive series with friends but I’m not sure what game it would be on. Something to put on the cooker…

Tech and Gaming News To Talk About…

Remember that game that was teased by 11 bit studios a little while back? And that you could pre-order without knowing a darn thing about it? Well, they finally announced what it was. A sequel to Anomaly 2. A bit of an underwhelming announcement really. They released a trailer showing off new graphics and the ability to morph your troops into mechs. How that will play into the game? I don’t know. It will cost you $14.99 to get this game unless you pre-ordered it for whatever reason you would choose to do that. I’m not impressed with the company pulling this move. Even if they hadn’t pulled that controversial pre-order move, I doubt I’d get this game. While I found Anomaly to be an interesting and new concept in its first game, it wasn’t enough to make me want to play more of it as I found out later. So, if you felt foolish enough to pre-order this game and are disappointed with what your getting, well, its all your fault for picking it up in the first place without knowing what it was.

Congratulations to Eve Online hitting 500,000 active subscribers before its 10th Birthday. That is quite the achievement for a game as old as it is. But it still stands the test of time. Eve has certainly been through its ups and downs but CCP seems to be holding it together and constantly improving the game. I just wish it was enough to bring me back. Well, that and I don’t have the time to devote towards playing the big MMO. But I keep a distant eye on it to see what they’re doing to the game. It seems that Dust 514 is going off without a hitch but I haven’t heard how successful its been yet. Or is it still in BETA? Nope, never mind, its out of BETA apparently. So, I’m glad to see CCP is still kicking.

Photos To See…

I really can’t get over how funny this is. Every time I see it now I just start giggling.

Audio of Note…

This is a really nice song though I’ve never heard of the game its inspired by. Whoever sung this has a nice voice.

Cool Videos To Watch…

Moonshine Fox continues his Mass Effect series with Ep 04 – “The Citadel”. His series is bringing back a lot of memories about this game and the series as a whole. Yeah yeah, its only been a few years since I’ve played this one but still. Good times. Mass Effect was when EA was one of the good devs, not weighed down with its current ridiculous problems that they created by themselves. Ah well.

Did You Know Gaming is back with another one on the Kirby games. Not a game character I really ever got into though I did get a few of the gameboy games with him. He’s a pain in the butt on Super Smash Bros though…

Until next time, I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I will be back on Monday (yeah, this week has been a bit weird but oh well)!
