Personal Musing: 7/26/12…

Sun, sun, and more sun.

Not much to talk about today really, just another day at work and then just chilling. I’m getting ready for other things I’m attending soon though, so I guess that is something. Otherwise, I’m good, healthy and feeling pretty good about things in general. This weekend is a bit weird so I’m not sure if I’m going to be publishing anything or not. It is a bit up in the air. I’m being flexible about it.

I published episode 18 of my Let’s Play: Breath of Death series. I’m liking how this series is starting to turn out. So go check it out.

Played Defense Grid Super Shredder Mode on a level which the name escapes me. That took a very long time to get through that particular mode. Then played some more Psychonauts. I also got a limited amount of L4D2 co-op this week. Pretty short and sweet I suppose.

All Sorts of Tech & Gaming News:

Whelp, I’ve heard of speed runs. Then there is this speed run. Portal beaten in 8 1/2 minutes. This video is a bit insane and so is the work behind it. I am, quite frankly, amazed that the Source engine didn’t just crash and burn during all this exploiting. Shows what I know about engines. This type of gaming has never interested me, speed running through a game. But if your crazy enough to do it, well, why not.

Kwaga Acquires Boxcar. In a  bit of meh news, the former notification app that I used to use on iOS has been bought by another company. I guess Kwaga didn’t hear that Boxcar is a broken and non-functioning service did they. I dropped them a couple months back and apparently the service got worse and worse since I left. Now they, Boxcar, are claiming they are bringing servers back up to 100%. So why did you shut them down without telling anyone in the first place? Its not cool guys. Not cool at all. I’ve lived without Boxcar since then so clearly I don’t need it. Pro tip: If you shut down your servers, TELL US. Sheesh…

The Humble Bundle is back, not with games, but with music. Don’t confuse it with the Humble Game Music Bundle like I did. Whoops. This is a different bundle this time around and it will be interesting to see how well they do.

Social Photo Feature:

Photo sharing today was really light. So…I grabbed my photo.

Video Feature:

I didn’t particularly like Prometheus. I did, however, like this funny take on the film by Check it out. The Clawwwwwwwww. hahahaha

Until next time…
