Monday, monday, mondayyyyy….
Blegh on Mondays. I just want my weekend back ktks? Oh well. En mi casa, yo….I’m sorry, spanish is starting to blur with English tonight. Which is what I’ve been working on for the past several hours. Writing sentences in spanish and getting them right. Tis a bit tedious, but if it helps me get it down, well, gotta do what needs to be done. Dead week is so exhausting. But the upside is, is that I have no homework left to do. I finished it all up yesterday in one nice hurrah. It is all studying from here on out, which is a bit of a relief to not have homework for the next several months. I just have a lot of other stuff that needs to get done. Ah…life….thy name is work. Hmm….let’s see, beyond that, nothing much exciting happened today. Same for the news today, oddly enough. Oh well, guess that’s just how it goes some days.
Figures though, wanted to study spanish tonight and what does my brain want to do instead? Come up with ideas for <ALT>…c’mon brain, let’s focus ok? Thanks…
Over the weekend I played some Tribes: Ascend, and then finished both Limbo and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery. S: S&S has been on my to-do list for so long, its a bit sad. I tried several times on separate occasions to finish the darn game on my iPad. But for whatever reason, it just never appealed to me much. So I got another chance to play in on the PC and it seemed more enjoyable. I think its because I have a much better sound system on my PC than on my iPad, so I’m able to enjoy the music more. My only real thought on the game that sticks out is that the game is just…weird. The graphics are weird, the premise is weird, its just weird. I might do a review on it, I’m a bit 50/50 on whether I should. Its also the first game I’ve ever seen reference the Triforce as a source of power, though apparently that’s more common than I’m aware. Huh. It was a fairly short game too, but it didn’t feel short. Limbo was the same, despite being short, it still felt like a full game. For a puzzle platformer, it was quite enjoyable. Good atmosphere and the puzzles avoided being ridiculously difficult, though the obtuseness of the puzzles did aggravate me a bit at the end. Its a brutal and dark game though. More brutal than I thought it would be. Yikes…
The Humble Indie Bundle has gotten over three million dollars tonight. That is, well, quite impressive. Seriously, give this bundle a check if you want some really good games.
The Trolololo guy from Russia passed away today. Video linked below this. I hope he had a good, full life and that his soul rests in peace.
And…that’s the news. Its a bit slow today and I didn’t see much I wanted to talk about. A lot of attention is currently on E3 and to be honest, what I’ve seen isn’t impressive overall. Granted, it doesn’t help that I don’t own a console, so I’m part of the no-longer-exists-PC-gaming-crowd, but still. So instead you’ll get some Instagram and Video features today.
First up is a double feature from moyer777, with the first be a grill of very yummy hamburgers and chickens. mmmmmm…
Next is a view outside his window apparently, nice looking flowers!
And to wrap it up we have a photo from billybob476 and his soon-to-bloom rose.
I have a double video feature today. First off is a push for my friend Gareth’s Let’s Play: Back to the Future series. He’s just started in on episode 4 of the Telltale games, and its off to a good start. I’m not a big fan of point-and-click games (ignore than I just talked about S: S&S up there ;)) so I’ve been enjoying watching this series via YouTube. If you want to start from the beginning, go here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC8E4B48CB686370F
Next up is a video from Danisnotonfire. I really like watching his humerous videos. I think it helps that they talk about stuff I think about on a daily basis so I can relate. Plus the humor is my style of humor ;). Anyway, this video about his near-death experiences was quite funny, and I’ve dealt with the crossing-the-road one before…dumb drivers >=(.
And that’s it, hope you enjoy and until next time…
