I’ve said this so many times before, but so much to do, so little time. I’m going to have to knuckle down and get things done as quickly as possible this week and next. Its going to be “fun”. Today was mostly just getting through classes and trying to figure out how I’m going to get some fairly major projects done. Its going to be interesting, I have several major projects that are due in a couple weeks. Yeek….still, if I can get on them fairly soon, it shouldn’t be too bad. Hopefully. Today I also finished the 2nd and final voiceboard for Spanish. It went rather well I think. Voiceboards are basically recorded video conversations where we have to speak for five minutes with another partner. Its a bit difficult as we’re not supposed to use notes and such. And then spanish class was cancelled as the professor’s wife was apparently having her kid that day. He had warned us that it would come any day. Now the question is whether we have class tomorrow. Hmm. Life’s never boring heh.
So the general schedule for my blog this week is a podcast review and my review on Terraria. Hoping to get both of those done by the end of the week with the additional personal musings of course. After which, next week will be special, though in ways I have yet to decide. More on that soon. 🙂
Played Shadow Era today and got my butt handed to me three times. x_X…I don’t get to play that game very often, so not sure what I was expecting really. Still, twas disappointing to lose, especially the last game where I figured I had Moonshine Fox dead to rights and he destroyed three strategies…QQ. I’ll get you next time Fox!!!!!!!!
Diablo III was released today to a torrent of people and it suffered from crashing servers to the point that people were getting queued for the server….for the single player mode. I ranted a bit on Twitter about it, but Blizzard could have easily saved themselves a lot of trouble had they not included DRM. This only goes to prove my point that it was completely unnecessary. I haven’t heard much about the game other than people getting the chance to stare at a login screen all day. I’m sure that was a ton of fun. Still, this isn’t an MMO game. Its a single player game with an online “optional” feature. If Blizzard wanted to make World of Diablo III, they should have just done that. But the DRM combined with the pay-to-win Auction house made this a no-buy game back when I was looking into it as a possible purchase. I will say, all this DRM trouble will give Torchlight II a lot more sales when it comes out later. I could go on and on about the DRM rant deal, but that’s reserved for another night, another post…
Capcom’s strategy of On-Disc DLC in its Street Fighter X game apparently backfired on them with low sales. Which they blamed on saturation in the market. (lol). Gotta love their devs, they will never admit they are wrong, just blame everyone else. Capcom also made the announcement they will no longer due on-disc DLC in the future. Hmm, well, at least they still listen to the dollar and not themselves in this case. Serves them right…it was pretty petty of them to screw the customer like they did in this case…
Flipboard for iOS got an update of the audio kind, and now has integrated with Soundcloud and other interesting features. Its an weird update for the visual “magazine” but I’ll be interested to see how it works over the coming weeks.
Instagram photo of the day:
A bit of an odd one, its “Catherine Moyer” looking up and away from the camera. I had to feature it because it was just so odd to see in my Instagram feed tonight lol.
I didn’t get much of a chance to take photos today so another Portal 2 photo for you to consume. Just me looking up at the broken roof.
And Until next time,
