Personal Musings: 3/29/12…

Moving forward…

There is simply not enough time in the day to do everything you want.  Today, even more so.  I spent most of today learning about video editing.  I’ve been wanting to do a Let’s Play series for the longest time but just hadn’t had the time or resources to devote to it.  One of my main limitations is my CPU, it simply isn’t powerful enough to record the videos I really want to.  But after finishing the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, I realized a couple of games I could do a Let’s Play series on that my CPU could handle.  So I spent a good chunk of today recording and learning an interesting method to publishing the videos.  This is also educational too because video editing is one of my greatest weaknesses as far as knowledge on tech stuff so this is a good learning experience.

Job wise….yeah, same as usual.  Trying but no cigar.

Oh did I mention I worked on videos?  Here is the trailer to my first Let’s Play series:

First video should be out tomorrow.  I haven’t decided how frequently this series is going to be published, I guess it will depend on how quickly I can push them out and whether or not I think its worthwhile.  Its an experimental idea for me and the first episode is no doubt going to be rough but I think it will do something interesting.  Its also making me nervous because I’m not sure how people will react to it.  Good, bad, meh?  I’m not sure.  I guess I’ll find out, won’t I.

Breath of Death VII: The Beginning is an Indie game RPG that caught my attention a long time back and managed to get my hands on both it and another similar game: Cuthulu Saves The World.  Look it up if your interested in that genre at all.  I think this will be a lot of fun, I haven’t played a RPG like this since Golden Sun for Gameboy Advance.  Man that was such a great game too.  Anyway…

News wise…I haven’t seen anything worth bringing up today.  *shrug*.

Other than that, I’m just busy writing and playing.  I definitely need to be writing more, I’ve been lazy on that end.  Derp.  I think at this point I should stop giving myself things to do.

Oh, was playing Tribes Ascend and L4D2 today.  L4D2 is a game I haven’t played nearly enough of, so I’m glad I’ve found a few people to do it with.  :).  Tribes Ascend was quite a kick-butt session.  One of the games I launched a mortar right into a group of enemies standing around and they all blew up, at least three of them.  I had to quickly run away so I couldn’t survey the damages but that and a few other well placed mortars got me a really nice killstreak.  :D.  I think Fox was slightly annoyed to not be on top of the leaderboard for once ;).  >=).  Pic below was the map it was on, though I didn’t catch a pic of me launching the mortar into the group.  Darn, would have been an epic shot too. I’m not sure when I took that photo, but it was definitely in the match.

And that’s it.  I’ll talk to you all tomorrow, I hope you have an excellent day!
