Personal Musings: 3/28/12…

Back into the flow…(REALLY late edition)…

Ok yeah, I’m up pretty late and yet still going to write this post.  I must be crazy.  But this is Spring Break and I’m more of a night owl than a morning person anyway.  Hopefully this post will still look sane when I wake up in the morning.  Heh.  ;).  Its been a few days since I last posted a personal musing.  Did say I wouldn’t post over the weekend, but I hadn’t planned on this long a break.  Whoopsie.  Honestly, my laziness…tsk tsk.  Anyway, not much to say about the weekend, it was really a mini-break for me within my break and I got a few things worked out and insert vague stuff here ;).  What I will talk about is that I passed my classes this last college term.  A-, B and B.  This takes a lot of stress off of me, so I am glad to hear that I got back into it.  Last term…went roughly to be honest.  But it seems I still have it in me to strike back.  Which is good.  Very good.

Nothing to report on the job front, its been silent and nothing has come of it right now…

Anyway, enough of that.  Umm, news.  News news news, well, tech wise I’m a bit out of the loop so I have no idea but gaming wise it seems like the last hope I had for a new SimCity died with their recent announcement that it will have internet-requiring DRM and that an Origin account is required to run it.  Pity, I was looking forward to the game.  I think this solidifies my boycott of all origin-powered games and by extension, EA’s games.  I have a feeling a lot of games will be denied to me as time passes, what with many major developers like Popcap being consumed by EA.  But the flip side is, I have more time to devote to my current game library which is pretty full as it is.  And I’m happy with it as it is.  I have more than I think I deserve…

Speaking of game libraries, I’ve been playing Tribes Ascend with MoonshineFox, Ceras and Dasone quite a bit before and after this past weekend’s “mini-break”.  I actually got my first kill-streak I’ve ever gotten in an FPS game.  I think it was six or seven kills in that streak. Yeah, after all these years playing FPS games I should have gotten a kill-streak by now, but I’ve just never tried as hard as I have in Tribes.  I’m getting better and for now, I’m enjoying the game which is all that matters really.  Yeah, Tribes can be frustrating sometimes, but getting kill-streaks can be quite fun as well :).

No game pictures tonight, I didn’t take any of my Tribes playing…though I guess I could link my Instagram photo I took today.  It was a rather nice day on my walk and I happened to find this tree blooming.  Enjoy.

Other than that, I’m just pushing forward.  Got a few ideas I want to try out, just not enough time in the day to work on them, you know?  All about prioritizing I suppose.

Anyway, I must get some shut eye, I hope you all have an enjoyable day today!
