Personal Musings: 3/6/12…

Breathe…

Breathing, eating, sleeping, just more of the same thing we do everyday. Well, for me its more like study, write, stress and hope something doesn’t go so awry so much that your doomed. x_x. This is not the life I want to lead. And here lately the phrase of “live life to the fullest” has really started to bother me. Is this College career really my shtick? Or is it something different? A question I’ve been struggling with…other than that annoying question I’ve been pulling longer hours to work on my homework and that’s coming out pretty well. I have another test coming up and I’m feeling a bit more confident about it which is good, I need it to go better. Nothing to report on the job front…

So I saw this video below today. Watch it and come back.

This is not something I support outright probably because I view such organizations with a glass-half-empty look. I know, I know, but its hard not to feel like similar organizations trying to help some poor kid in Africa are trying to sell you something and that the money you donate doesn’t quite reach its intended destination. Anyway, even after watching it, it seems like a honest attempt at bringing a man to face his crimes. I did have to think it over for a while after I watched it and decide whether it was all legit and I see no reason to think it isn’t. Its actually amazing how many people are involved in this movement to bring Kony to justice for his crimes. Just goes to show that used correctly, the Internet can be used for something really powerful. But, if this organization fails to bring Kony to the justice that he deserves then it will badly damage any future movements of its kind. No doubt Kony is going to try and hide for as long as is necessary to get the US to look away. We, unfortunately, have a very short attention span when it comes to this sort of thing so he just has to play the waiting game. I am kinda surprised that no one else beyond the US is getting involved in this affair. I mean, it is an international movement behind getting Kona. Or maybe the international community has enough faith in the US. I don’t know. I do have hope that this movement succeeds. If it does, then it would signal something greater at hand…

I was foolish to believe this crap. Updated Musing coming soon….

Saw an article today that a boss of Anonymous turned on his group and got many of them arrested. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/07/technology/lulzsec-hacking-suspects-are-arrested.html I shook my head in faint amusement. The organization always struck me as amateurs and clearly the results are thus. I don’t support their activities. I think they are ultimately doing more damage to the Internet than actually helping. They may cause the Federal government to use Anon as an excuse to lock down even harder on the internet. Not a great solution…

Tomorrow is the possible probably iPad 3 event along with an iTV. I’m interested in the iPad 3, but even if Apple comes out with an iTV, I have 0.00% interest in it. I’d much rather get a 30″ computer screen thank you very much. I’ve pretty much dropped everything TV related as it is and my computer monitor doubles as a TV anyway. No predictions on the iPad 3, I’m being conservative in my guesses though…

Gaming wise its been pretty much nothing. As I said earlier, been pulling longer hours for studying. Oh well. 😉

Otherwise, I got my new Podcast review out today. Thinking I might tweak the format for the next review just slightly but otherwise happy with the resulting post. Hoping to have a few more posts this week, homework willing. We shall see. 🙂

I hope everyone is having a good day and I’ll talk to you later.
