I’m updating you all on A Valley Without Wind’s current status as college has me consumed at the moment. I really can’t wait for the BETA to come out after this EPIC blog post Chris put out. You can find his blog post here: Here
Some things that stood out from the post:
The Warp Scrolls and lessening the need to backtrack a lot. Terraria has quite a bit of this going on and by all indications, this is where AVWW was going. I didn’t mind it and I actually liked that every time I died in Terraria that I left behind a Gravestone, as though my character had history. But this idea of making our deaths leave behind ghosts has me intrigued. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in BETA.
Ghosts. As stated in paragraph above. Intriguing mechanic to see how it works out.
Day/Night Cycles: Glad to see that they are letting this back in the game, I always like the passage of time to happen in a game. Makes the game feel like it progresses.
City-Building: oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo 🙂 Sweet.
Strategy stuff: It will be curious to see how this works out.
Anyway, enjoy the BIG LONG EPIC post. I almost hesitate to say this is his longest post, as Chris can really keep on talking and typing 😛
