This is just a few thoughts on Disney’s Movie, The Princess and the Frog.
I just got this off my netflix queue, and I have to say, it’s different in it’s own right. The colors seem to be more vibrant, the animation is top notch, but this is Disney we are talking about. The music was good too, going from bright and happy to dark and creepy. Unlike most Disney films which tend to just put the Heroine in a vague place at a certain time, this one seems overly focused and defined.
If I had one complaint about this film, it’s in your face. I don’t know if it’s my age, perspective on life or what, but this film every step of the way seems to be telling you, “Your in New Orleans, follow your dreams, work hard and it’ll all work out”. It was rather unsubtle. This could be just me though, what did anyone else think about this?
Otherwise, I enjoyed the ride this movie took you on. I recommend checking out at least once. I think you’ll be satisified if you ever liked any of Disney’s previous greats.
Have a great day everyone!
